The VC Fund That Put America Back on the Moon Finally Got a Brand to Match
DTF Advisors backed Firefly’s moon landing, K2 Space, and Axiom Station. The pitch deck did not lead with any of it. The story was buried on slide 47 of a 60-slide presentation, and the visual identity looked like every other seed-stage fund on an LP’s desk. We built a brand that leads with a definitive claim: we funded the moon landing. Here is what we are conquering next.

LPs have zero time and short tempers. DTF Advisors had elite deep-tech credentials and an investment thesis nobody else could replicate. But their core differentiators were buried inside an oversized presentation that forced LPs to hunt for the point. The visual identity matched every other seed-stage fund: generic tech aesthetic, no authority, nothing that said "we funded the moon landing."
We cut 60 slides to 17 high-impact pages, plus a targeted appendix. A black-dominant palette anchored by precision tactical orange replaced the generic tech aesthetic. The story was rebuilt around a clear sequence: moon landing validation, unfair access thesis, deal pipeline, terms. In that order, for a reason.
We positioned the Firefly touchdown not as a lucky outcome but as proof of a repeatable system. The core message became: the exact same proprietary radar that identified Firefly is now evaluating frontier assets that other venture funds cannot access or comprehend. That is not a track record. That is an unfair advantage. The deck made sure LPs understood the difference.
DTF Advisors raised $100M for Fund I. Partners now walk into capital allocation meetings with LPs who are already primed, referencing their achievements unprompted. They no longer explain who they are. They explain where the industry is going.
